How to combine JPG files into one PDF
Add photos or scans
Phone photos of documents work fine. Put them in the order the reader should see them; the first photo becomes page one.
Choose the pages
A4 or US Letter, one, two or four photos per page, portrait or landscape. The preview shows every page as it will print.
Pick a file size and download
The size next to the preview is the real size of the PDF. Change the file size setting until it fits, then download.
Keep the PDF under the upload limit
Visa portals, job sites, schools and expense systems often reject files over a few megabytes, and phone photos are large. The file size setting shrinks each photo before it goes into the PDF:
Best quality keeps photos up to 3000 pixels on the long side, enough for printing small text. Balanced keeps them up to 2000 pixels, which still reads clearly on screen and in print. Smallest goes down to 1400 pixels and stronger compression for strict limits.
Putting two or four photos on a page does not shrink the file by itself, but it gives fewer pages to scroll through. If the PDF is still too big on "Smallest", split the photos into two PDFs.
ID card front and back on one page
Banks, landlords and visa applications often ask for both sides of an ID card or driver's license in one file. Turn on the ID card preset in the tool: it puts the two photos one above the other on an A4 page, each at the real size of a card (85.6 × 54 mm).
Crop your photos close to the card's edges first, so the card fills the picture. When you print, choose "Actual size" or 100% so the copy comes out the same size as the card.
A4, Letter or the photo's own size
A4 (210 × 297 mm) is the standard paper size in most of the world. US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) is used in the United States and Canada. Pick the one your printer or the organization you are sending to uses; if you are not sure, A4 is the safe choice outside North America.
Same as each photo makes every page exactly the shape of its photo, with no white border beyond the margin you choose. It is the best fit for PDFs that will only be read on screen, such as a set of screenshots.
Questions
My PDF is too big for the upload form. What now?
Switch the file size to "Smallest" and watch the size next to the preview. If it is still over the limit, remove photos you do not need or split them into two PDFs.
Are my documents uploaded?
No. The PDF is built in your browser on your own device, so ID cards, bank statements and other documents are never sent to a server.
How do I change the page order?
Drag a photo in the list, or use its up and down arrows. The pages follow the list from top to bottom.
Can I merge PNG files to PDF too?
Yes. PNG and WebP photos can be mixed with JPGs. Transparent areas become white, as they would on paper.
Will the text in my scans stay readable?
On "Best quality" and "Balanced", printed text in a phone photo of a document stays sharp. Use "Smallest" only when a limit forces you to, and zoom into the downloaded PDF to check small print.
Can I merge JPG to PDF on my phone?
Yes. Pick photos from your gallery, download the PDF, and it lands in Files or Downloads, ready to attach to a form or an email.
